Traditionally during the Space exhibition (Rennes, France) in September, MSD organises a symposium. This year the topic on the 13th of September is “Innovation” and “Farm of the future”. Dr. Kristof Mertens, Managing Director of Porphyrio will speak about « How can Big Data and Biostatistics improve animal health ». Besides doing research trials, field trials and using the expertise of the veterinary practices, using the data generated in the poultry production process intelligently will add significant to finding solutions for some of the challenges in the poultry industry : reducing the usage of antibiotics, improving on animal welfare parameters and at the same time improving on performance- and costprice indicators.
